About Me

My love of photography developed when I was quite young and I am largely self-taught. I remember spending hours watching my father create his photographs in our home darkroom. My passion for photographing moms-to-be, children and families developed when I became a mother myself. My two young daughters are among my favourite subjects. Before pursuing photography professionally I was a teacher. My experience as a mother and a teacher helps me to connect with you and your children and helps you to feel at ease.

I shoot in both colour and black & white, using a Canon EOS 20D. In my work I seek to highlight the unique personalities of your family. My approach is one that will capture your spirit in a candid way, allowing for natural expressions to show through. My style is simple. While I do have some props available and am happy to incorporate items of yours, I feel my best work concentrates on the subject alone. My camera and I are there to observe the relationship between you and your child and document it so that it is natural and timeless.

With a young family of my own, I limit the number of sessions I take and when I take them. This ensures that when I am with you, you have me completely. I don't squeeze you in and your session is not rushed. Generally, I am available Monday through Thursday 9am to 12pm. I provide weekend sittings twice a month.
